• About the role

  • Salary Circa £54,000 per annum based on experience, plus brilliant benefits

Home, a place where you belong
You’ll shape how services run and improve, not just oversee them. In this role, you’ll influence service innovation, drive operational improvements, and lead teams. You will lead teams providing twelve supported accommodation services for customers over 55 and leading a housing management team working in partnership with other support providers. We’re keen to develop our service offer in this area so you’ll lead on reviewing, remodelling and implementing change.  If you want a role where your decisions matter, your voice shapes strategy, and your leadership improves everyday lives, this is a chance to step up and make a real impact.

    What you’ll do
Managing a team of Supported Managers to deliver outstanding Housing services that align with targets and values.
Leading operational efficiency across supported, rented, and leasehold services, identifying ways to improve performance and processes.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including local authorities, housing partners, commissioners and contractors.
Effectively supporting the team to manage a portfolio of properties and services, aligning resources to meet compliance, performance, and customer needs.
Developing budgets of up to £5m, managing budgets including service charge and rental income, and ensuring financial targets are achieved through efficiency and planning.

    Why join us
You’ll have the space to influence strategy and shape how services are delivered, while growing your leadership impact across a wide and varied portfolio. You’ll work with experienced colleagues who value collaboration, learning, and doing the right thing for customers. With flexibility, trust, and real development opportunities, this is a role where you can stretch yourself and see the difference you make. Be part of one of the UK’s Great Places to Work! Unfortunately, we can’t offer a CoS for this role.

    You have
Significant experience in the social housing sector, with extensive housing management knowledge and experience to oversee a very busy and challenging housing portfolio
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements across social housing, supported and leasehold services, with a track record of achieving KPIs.
Strong leadership skills, with experience developing and motivating teams while modelling collaborative and authentic behaviours.
A pragmatic approach to performance management, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and deliver value for money.
You have excellent communication skills and build relationships with ease and confidence in managing complex budgets, analysing financial and performance data.

    Stronger together
We do our best work when we’re ourselves. That’s why inclusion, wellbeing, and our diversity networks help make Home Group a great place to work!

    The practical bits
The successful candidate will support services across the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Essex regions.
Flexible working hours, we're open to agreeing a work pattern with you and you would manage your own diary
Hybrid role with minimum 2 days in the office and 3 days working at home
You need an Enhanced with barring list DBS check (we pay)

You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes

    What’s in it for you?
34 days leave, rising to 39 (this includes bank holidays and a “me day”) and the option to buy 5 more each year
Health cash plan saving you (and your children) £1140+ each year covering dental, opticians, prescriptions and more
Matching pension contribution (up to 7% and life insurance of 3x basic salary)
800+ discounts on shops, holidays, days out, tech and more
Family friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal, fertility and menopause support
