You’ll bring commercial insight to bid decisions, helping assess opportunities, risks, pricing assumptions and strategic fit before we commit resource.
What you’ll do
• You’ll lead the end-to-end bid and tender process, ensuring submissions are high quality, commercially robust, compliant and clearly reflect Home Group’s strengths.
• You’ll support horizon scanning for new business opportunities, using tendering portals to review, recommend and maximise growth opportunities across our product portfolio.
• You’ll apply our gateway approval processes and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including finance, legal and HRD to support robust governance and successful submissions.
• You’ll lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across the bid process, using feedback, outcomes, data and best practice to strengthen our bid library and future responses.

You have
• Strong experience in bid and tender management, ideally within the supported housing sector.
• Excellent leadership, team management and coaching skills, with the confidence to set direction, support performance and hold others to account.
• Strong written, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to produce and improve high-quality bid responses.
• Experience of quality assuring submissions and applying continuous improvement practices, using feedback, outcomes and lessons learned to strengthen future bids.

Stronger together
We do our best work when we’re ourselves. That’s why inclusion, wellbeing, and our diversity networks help make Home Group a great place to work!
The practical bits
• Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
• You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
• Our team is spread nationally – so we take it in turns where we host our monthly face to face team meeting! Our offices are in Leeds, London, Birmingham and Newcastle, so every now and then you’ll be going further afield.
• We also regularly visit services we’re supporting with tenders, so you’ll need to be okay with travelling (we cover train or milage expenses of course!)
What’s in it for you?
• 34 days leave, rising to 39 (this includes bank holidays and a “me day”). The option to buy 5 more each year
• Matching pension contribution (up to 7% and life insurance of 3x basic salary)
• 800+ discounts on shops, holidays, days out, tech and more
• Family friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal, fertility and menopause support
