You’ll lead from the front in community housing, shaping safer estates and stronger neighbourhoods. You'll support our Housing Managers across Essex, working closely with customers, colleagues and local communities to make a real difference where it matters most. This role puts you close to customers and colleagues, not stuck behind a desk. You’ll use your housing expertise to solve real problems, coach housing managers, and improve how services run. What you’ll do
• Lead housing managers to deliver safe, well run estates and communities. Supporting our Housing Managers across Essex to improve services for customers and communities.
• Act as escalation point for complex ASB, safeguarding, and tenancy cases. Attend customer visits and community events to stay connected to local neighbourhoods and build positive relationships.
• Work hands on with customers to resolve issues and improve neighbourhoods.
• Use insight and quality checks to drive consistent performance and income.
• Build strong relationships with partners, councils, and local stakeholders.

You have
• You have strong housing management experience or equivalent practical knowledge.
• You have led, coached, or supported housing teams to improve performance.
• You have confidence handling ASB, safeguarding, and complex customer issues.
• You have good knowledge of housing law, estates, and tenancy management.
• You have resilience, empathy, and clear judgement when things get challenging.

The practical bits
• You'll work across Essex, including Saffron Walden, Canvey Island, Brentwood, Colchester and Chelmsford.
• You'll spend around 2 days each week out in the community the rest working from home or popping into our regional offices.
• You need an Enhanced with barring list DBS check (we pay)
• You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes
